Student Name: Devon H.
Bio:
I play volleyball and soccer, and I am an active member in our high school’s A Cappella Choir. I enjoy to sing as much as I enjoy to play sports. I love to spend my Saturday afternoons watching college football as long as both TCU and Ohio State are winning. I am an only child, but I have many “unofficial” siblings. I love all types of music except for rap. I have just recently gotten into the non well-known classic rock songs, thanks to my dad. My new favorite band is Rush, but The Beatles will always have a special place in my heart.
Previous Knowledge / Opinions about Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland Prior to the Project:
I know that in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland there is a young girl that falls down the rabbit hole. I have never read the book, but I have seen the wonderful Disney movie. I am also excited to see the new Tim Burton version.
Thoughts about the Project on Day 1:
I feel that this project is going to be very insightful and that I am going to really enjoy this project. I know that it will help me get deeper into the story of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

Bio:
I play football, baseball, and basketball, however I have decided to cut my basketball career short. I have a younger brother and sister, and too many pets to list. I like to spend my afternoons taking long walks on the beach and spending time with my dogs Pistachio and Levitacus after doing my homework and writing novels.
Previous Knowledge / Opinions about Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland Prior to the Project:
I have not really looked too far into the Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. I have seen the old Disney movie of course, but it was just one of those movies I saw as a kid along with Peter Pan and Pinnocchio. In fact I have only just learned that Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland had a few drug references in it, and now that I look at it they weren’t very hard to miss. I am looking forward to discovering more about Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
Thoughts about the Project on Day 1: I’m starting to get nervous about the project. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to keep up with everything, but I think that it will become easier, technically and intellectually, as the weeks go on.

Student Name: Darcy S.
Bio: I am one of those crazy theatre people. George Harrison is my favourite Beatle. I play guitar more than my fingers would like me to and hopefully one day I will be a troubadour in the London underground (for a day at least). I lived there for two years (not in the actual underground), and the experience opened my eyes. If music was a person, we would be best friends.
Previous Knowledge / Opinions about Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland Prior to the Project: My previous knowledge of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland consists of a one year obsession with the 1951 Disney movie of Alice in Wonderland at age six.
Thoughts about the Project on Day 1: Pressure, pressure, pressure! The ability to stop time might come in handy for this project…

I have been going to my school for 12 years, and I participate in Varsity Cheerleading. I have competed in dog shows with my golden retriever, Ranger. I hope to go to Texas Christian University and major in Media-TV-Film.
Previous Knowledge / Opinions about Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland Prior to the Project: My only previous knowledge of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is what I have seen in the Disney movie. The story has always seemed very deep and confusing to me.
Thoughts about the Project on Day 1: I am excited to learn more about Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. I also love that we are using technology to publish our project and work with our group.

Student Name: Connor S.
Bio:
I’m a minimalist when I’m in a lazy mood, and a perfectionist when I feel passionate about something or when the work is a group project, because other people are depending on me. I’m a fairly talkative person, and I try (keyword try) to go out of my way to be nice to other people.
Previous Knowledge / Opinions about Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland Prior to the Project:
All I really know about Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is that it’s about a girl named Alice, there’s a Cheshire Cat, and that people make references to the story all the time.
Thoughts about the Project on Day 1:
I’m thankful I’ve used WordPress before, as it really does help to be familiar with the interface, especially since I’m the first editor. I get the feeling this project will bring out a lot of creativity, and it will be fairly fun.
I hope you revisit this idea throughout your blogging and, at the end, come to some conclusions about why the story seems to have such a prominent place in our culture.
